For automotive applications a smoke coloured tint is used. Tint has a full spectrum of colours, patterns and shades that are used in commercial applications.
The most common automotive tint shades used are 5%, 20%, 35% and 70%. The percentage indicates the amount of visible light transmission (VLT) the tint allows into the vehicle. The tint percentage can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer. Whether the actual VLT is 18% or 20% the tint community generally calls it a 20% film.

Use an ammonia-free glass cleaner or mild soapy water with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, scrapers and ammonia-based products, which can damage the film.
Keep your windows up for 3–5 days after installation so the film can fully cure and bond to the glass. Curing may take a little longer in cold or humid weather.
